Financing of a hostel for young orphans, financing of social projects
A call for help came through the regional Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Kyrgyz Republic, which is in the federation of ELCRAS, in mid-2021. The non-profit association Nash Golos, which means "our voice," has made it its mission to care for adolescent orphans. Since adolescent orphans in Bishkek are expelled from the homes at the age of 16, Nash Golos wants to build a new home for the young people. In cooperation with a local second hand dealer, clothing is sold locally to finance the project. The German Clothing Foundation has already been able to provide three truckloads of textiles. In April 2022, the new home for 10 young people could be purchased. The former home children are cared for and accompanied in training courses.
The association will now operate two second hand stores, create jobs and open up perspectives. For this purpose, we will stand by the side of Nasch Golos with textile relief goods until at least 2023.
